Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PUMPd mobile application, operated by sageio.org ("we", "us"). By using PUMPd you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PUMPd. By using the App you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Subscriptions

PUMPd is a paid service. There is no free tier for general use.

• Everyday Plan: R39.00/month — access to crowdsourced prices, station stock status, and basic fuel economy tracking.
• Premium Plan: R99.00/month — all Everyday features plus advanced analytics, priority support, and premium features.

Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Google Play Store. Your subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. You may cancel at any time through your Google Play account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Free subscription: Users who submit 50 verified fuel price captures (first 5,000 users only) earn one year of free Premium access. Referrals earn one free month per successful referral.

4. User-Generated Content

You may submit fuel prices, stock reports, station ratings, and comments. By submitting content you:

• Confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• Grant sageio.org a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use the content within the App.
• Agree not to submit false, misleading, or manipulated data.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or is inaccurate, without notice.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

PUMPd displays crowdsourced data submitted by users. We make no guarantees as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of fuel prices, stock availability, or any other information in the App. Always verify prices at the pump. sageio.org is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information in the App.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Submit fake, manipulated, or fraudulent fuel prices or stock reports.
• Use the App to spoof your GPS location.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access our source code or APIs.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, submit fraudulent data, or abuse the platform. Upon termination your subscription will not be refunded.

8. Consumer Protection Act (CPA)

South African users have rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the CPA. Subscription cancellations are processed within the Google Play billing system in accordance with Google's policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, sage.io's total liability for any claim arising from your use of PUMPd shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
